10 tips for that natural skin glow

With so much information out there about beauty routines, essential vitamins, ingredients and self-care remedies, it can often be overwhelming and hard to filter what's most important for your skin routine! We share our 10 pieces of beauty advice to maintain naturally glowing skin, all year round.

Good Skin Comes From Within
Incorporating skincare with ingredients which boost hydration and cell growth is vital in maintaining that fresh, rejuvenated glow all year round. However, your lifestyle also has a huge effect on the appearance of your skin, so it's crucial to maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle with these daily lifestyle tips below.

  1. Sleep
    It's one beauty trick that doesn't cost anything but can make a world of difference to every person and their lifestyle. Skin creates collagen when you sleep, which prevents sagging and stimulates new cell growth. Sleep gives your body (including your skin) time to repair itself, so without at least seven hours per night, this may reduce healing, increase inflammation-causing breakouts, acne and eczema.
  2. Sun Protection
    Despite the fact that moderate sun exposure is important to gain Vitamin D, any further sun exposure, is largely considered harmful to the skin. With repeated sun damage, the skin starts to look dry, wrinkled, discoloured, and leathery. Try to use a 50+ moisturiser on your face when outdoors, as well as a sunscreen lotion for your body.
  3. Hydration
    As 60% of the human body is made up of water, drinking at least two litres a day is absolutely essential to maintaining that natural glow all year round. Drinking enough water helps the body to flush out toxins while giving you healthier-looking skin, by increasing blood flow to the skin which gives it an even tone. It also improves the elasticity of the skin, reducing blemishes, cracks and signs of ageing.
  4. Positive Self-Talk
    The stress hormone cortisol can have huge effects on the overall appearance of your skin, affecting its brightness and evenness. Even though life has its ups and downs, it's so important to maintain a healthy and positive mindset.
