Charcoal

From fizz to foam! Activated charcoal acts as a magnet to attract dirt and oil, and is definitely worth the buzz.

Glycerin

Despite the growing popularity of a number of new skincare ingredients some classics have stood the test of time. Old-school glycerin is one of of them, with a 2016 study finding it to be “the most effective humectant (a type of moisturising agent that pulls water into the outer layer of your skin) in comparison with numerous others including alpha hydroxy acids (such as lactic acid and glycolic acid); hyaluronic acid and sorbitol.

Decyl Glucoside

Despite the science-y sounding name decyl glucoside is actually a natural, renewable, plant-derived, biodegradable ingredient derived from 100% renewable raw materials (specifically coconut and corn starch). Mild and gentle, it helps moisturise the skin by preventing inflammation and itchiness, making it popular in personal hygiene products toiletries.
